Job summary

IDR, Inc. is seeking an Epic Hospital Billing Specialist to join a premier client in New York, NY. This role focuses on operational support, troubleshooting, and training during go-live and hypercare phases of an Epic implementation.

You will bring 5+ years of back-end hospital billing experience with Epic HB certification or Resolute proficiency, and you will resolve complex claims while coaching staff. Competitive compensation is offered with full benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on, back-end hospital billing revenue cycle experience.
• Epic HB certification OR deep working proficiency in Resolute Hospital Billing.
• Experience with Epic claim edits, workqueues, denial management, and remittance posting.
• Knowledge of payer billing requirements and EDI transactions (837/835/277).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex claims, denials, and payment posting issues in real time.
• Coach end users on correct workflows and escalate system issues to technical teams.
• Serve as front-line billing expert during go-live and hypercare.
• Apply back-end billing expertise and knowledge of Epic Resolute Hospital Billing.

This role is ideal for a healthcare revenue cycle professional with expertise in hospital billing and strong Epic Resolute Hospital Billing experience. The position focuses on operational support, troubleshooting, and training during the go-live and hypercare phases of a healthcare IT implementation.

Position Overview for the Epic Hospital Billing Specialist:

• Support operational staff by troubleshooting complex claims, denials, and payment posting issues in real time.
• Provide coaching to end users on correct workflows and elevate system issues to technical teams.
• Serve as a front-line billing expert during the go-live and hypercare periods.
• Utilize practical back-end billing experience and deep knowledge of Epic Resolute Hospital Billing.
• Assist in ensuring smooth revenue cycle operations and system performance post-launch.

Requirements for the Epic Hospital Billing Specialist:

• 5+ years of hands-on, back-end hospital billing revenue cycle experience across claims, denials, and payment posting.
• Epic HB certification OR deep working proficiency in Resolute Hospital Billing.
• Experience with Epic claim edits, workqueues, charge review, denial management, and remittance/payment posting.
• Ability to research and resolve complex claims, including split claims, COB, timely filing, and contractual variances.
• Working knowledge of payer billing requirements, EDI transactions (837/835/277), and clearinghouse rejections.
