Job summary

Axelon Services Corporation is seeking a Clinical Applications Analyst to design, build, test, and implement clinical application systems, with a focus on Epic Cupid. You will support clinical users by applying knowledge of workflows, documentation needs, and clinical practice standards as you adapt software to meet their needs.

You will work with clinicians to create or adapt written protocols, prepare detailed specifications, and collaborate with senior staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in health IT or clinical applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare information technology, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Epic Cupid certification required; Epic Cupid certification preferred.
• Broad knowledge of clinical applications from design to testing, implementation, support, and evaluation.
• Strong problem-resolution, troubleshooting, and ability to differentiate issues.
• Strong interpersonal, training, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with users at varying professional and technical levels; collaborate with senior staff.

Responsibilities:

• Involves the design, building, testing, and implementation of clinical application systems.
• Provides support to clinical users through knowledge of clinical processes, documentation needs, workflows, and clinical practice standards, when adapting software to meet their needs.
• Works with clinicians to create or adapt written protocols.
• Prepares detailed specifications encompassing clinical processes, information flow, risk, and impact analysis.
• May provide customer service, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare information technology, computer science, or a related area and/or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Epic certification in Cupid.
• Broad and/or in-depth knowledge of clinical applications, including design, development, implementation, user support and training, maintenance, quality assurance, system testing, and evaluation.
• Strong problem-resolution and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to distinguish between application/build issues and training issues.
• Strong interpersonal and training skills, with the ability to work effectively with users at varying professional and technical levels.
• Strong organizational, written, verbal, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior staff and managers and serve as a technical and training resource.
• Experience working with challenging or resistant end users and identifying/documenting system issues for follow-up by build analysts.

Preferred Skills:

• Epic Cupid certification.
