Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking an Epic Clinical Subject Matter Expert & Project Manager to join our Healthcare Technology Consulting Services team. The Senior Associate will lead Epic engagements, drive high-quality clinical delivery, optimization, stabilization, and transformation programs across client projects.

The role balances hands-on Epic consulting with project coordination, stakeholder management, and internal practice support, with flexibility to base near any major RSM office.

Qualifications

• Active Epic certification in at least one clinical Epic application.
• 4+ years of hands-on Epic clinical implementation, optimization, support, or healthcare operations experience.
• Demonstrated experience supporting Epic clinical projects, implementations, or major workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on Epic clinical delivery work across implementations, optimizations, upgrades, and stabilization engagements, serving as an Epic SME or workstream lead on client engagements.
• Support clinical workflow design, build validation, testing, go-live readiness, post-go-live support, and command center operations during critical milestones.
• Analyze current-state clinical workflows and identify opportunities to improve provider efficiency, nursing workflows, patient safety, documentation quality, throughput, and user adoption.
• Ensure solutions align with Epic best practices, regulatory expectations, and long-term sustainability.
• Support optimization of provider documentation tools, order sets, preference lists, in-basket workflows, CDS, and patient care coordination tools.
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, RAID logs, meeting cadences, status reporting, and overall project execution discipline.
