Job description

Position Summary We are seeking an Epic-certified Client Systems Administrator with strong experience supporting Hyperspace Web (HSW), Interconnect, and MyChart infrastructure. The position is responsible for the configuration, availability, performance, and ongoing maintenance of these Epic client and web-server components. The successful candidate must have a minimum of three years of experience working as an Epic ECSA in a hospital environment. This is an infrastructure administration role, not primarily a MyChart application-build or workflow-configuration position.

Key Responsibilities
  • HSW administration: Maintain HSW server environments and configurations. Troubleshoot service availability, connectivity, and performance issues in partnership with application and infrastructure teams.
  • Interconnect administration: Manage Interconnect environments, deployments, and service health. Coordinate with integration teams to investigate endpoint availability, connection failures, and web-service performance.
  • MyChart infrastructure: Maintain the server-side components supporting MyChart. Coordinate changes and troubleshoot availability issues with MyChart application analysts, networking, and security teams.
  • Web-platform operations: Administer supporting Windows Server and Internet Information Services (IIS) components. Coordinate certificate renewals, load-balancer changes, DNS dependencies, and secure connectivity.
  • Change and release execution: Deploy approved updates across nonproduction and production environments. Prepare implementation plans, validate service health, and maintain rollback procedures.
  • Reliability and incident management: Monitor infrastructure health, investigate recurring failures, automate operational checks, and maintain configuration records and support runbooks. Provide timely incident updates and coordinate vendor escalations.
Required Qualifications
  • At least three years of hands‑on Epic ECSA experience at a hospital or health system, including responsibility for production client‑system infrastructure.
  • Current Epic ECSA certification covering Hyperspace Web and Interconnect.
  • Demonstrated production administration and troubleshooting experience with all three priority areas: HSW, Interconnect, and MyChart infrastructure.
  • Working proficiency with Windows Server, IIS, TLS certificates, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and load‑balancing concepts.
  • Experience with Active Directory, virtualization, and PowerShell or comparable scripting for administrative automation.
  • Ability to distinguish application, server, network, and database issues; coordinate troubleshooting across teams; and communicate clearly during service disruptions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Epic ECSA MyChart certification and experience with F5 BIG‑IP load balancing.
  • Additional experience with Epic printing, Business Continuity Access, or other ECSA components is beneficial.
  • Experience with cloud and automation also a plus.
Support Expectations
  • Participate in a scheduled on‑call rotation and perform approved after‑hours maintenance.
  • Coordinate changes to patient‑facing and clinician‑facing services with the appropriate operational owners, and follow established security and change‑control procedures.
