Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced EPIC Client Systems Administrator to support and maintain Epic infrastructure, including Epic MyChart and related components, with oversight of Imprivata OneSign for secure access. You will work with analysts, infra teams, clinicians, and vendors to upgrade systems, tune performance, and implement new Epic capabilities.

  • Education Bachelor's Degree in business administration, computer science, information systems, or related field.
  • 3 years progressively responsible business systems and/or Information Technology project experience, with exposure to systems or project development and testing, installation, and training. Applicants without the stated degree, but with significant additional Information Technology systems and project experience, may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Collects and interprets specifications required to develop new, and revise existing, software applications.
  • Assists managers with development and implementation of operational plans for new and existing business applications, including preparation of user specifications.
  • Coordinates testing of new applications and changes to existing applications to ensure integrity and quality of data while providing and/or assisting in training of system users.
  • Compiles complete, concise, and comprehensive policies and operation procedures to assist in communicating Information Resources issues to applicable management staff.
  • Assists in development of new administrative procedures required, utilizing new functionality resulting from system changes.
  • Assists in developing and implementing business Information Resources strategies to improve operational processing and productivity.
  • Responsible for monitoring development of specifications and establishing priorities for accomplishing design and testing of various projects.
  • Reviews, develops, recommends, and implements activities related to assigned activity, program, or function.
  • Maintains and tracks accounts assigned to projects or programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced EPIC Client Systems Administrator to join Technical Services Team B. This role is responsible for supporting and maintaining Epic's application infrastructure while leading technical projects that enhance system performance, interoperability, and end‑user experience across the healthcare enterprise. The successful candidate will provide administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of critical Epic technologies, primarily EPIC MyChart, and including Printing Services, Web Blob, Interconnect, Care Everywhere, Hyperspace Performance, Hyperspace Web, Kuiper, System Pulse, Telemedicine integrations, EpicCare Link, and Epic Hello World. The role also includes support and management of Imprivata OneSign solutions to ensure secure and seamless user access. Working closely with application analysts, infrastructure teams, clinical stakeholders, and vendors, this position is responsible for system upgrades, configuration management, performance tuning, incident resolution, and implementation of new Epic infrastructure capabilities.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following
  • Experience supporting Epic infrastructure technologies in a healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of Epic Hyperspace, Web technologies, interoperability, and patient engagement platforms.
  • Experience with system administration, performance tuning, and enterprise application support.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
