University of Colorado Medicine (CU Medicine) is the region’s largest and most comprehensive multi-specialty physician group practice. The CU Medicine team delivers business operations, revenue cycle, and administrative services to support over 4,000 physicians and providers affiliated with the University of Colorado School of Medicine. They provide healthcare services across primary and specialty care clinics and hospital facilities.

We are seeking a highly skilled EPIC Clarity Data Analyst to join our Operational Analytics and Automation team.

This job can be performed 100% remotely, and out-of-state candidates will be considered.

The EPIC Clarity Data Analyst will interpret and transform data into accurate, consistent, and timely information, balancing strategic vision with daily details. The role involves transforming clinical and business data into meaningful datasets that provide actionable insights, querying EPIC Clarity and AthenaIDX data, and managing full lifecycle analysis with a focus on delivering actionable reports to meet Revenue Services goals.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Develop reports and dashboards using EPIC Clarity, AthenaIDX, Denodo, and other applications that are timely, relevant, reliable, and predictive.
  2. Interpret data, analyze results, and provide actionable reports to stakeholders.
  3. Collaborate with Revenue Services leadership to prioritize business and information needs.
  4. Develop data collection processes and strategies to optimize reporting quality and efficiency.
  5. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends in complex data sets.
  6. Acquire data from primary and secondary sources, ensuring consistency and accuracy across platforms.
  7. Perform other duties and assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, computer science, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in healthcare billing or hospital environment.
  • Experience building dashboards with tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Epic Clarity Data Model Certification is required; AthenaIDX experience is preferred.
  • Intermediate-advanced SQL proficiency; experience with STATA, Python, or R is helpful.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility and positive working relationships.
