Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a hybrid role based in Secaucus, NJ (onsite 3 days/week) with a secondary site in Schaumburg, IL. The position focuses on developing and supporting complex vendor integration across health IT systems.

You will design interfaces, certify new vendors, and provide Tier 3 support while aligning with regulatory requirements and Quest standards. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in a laboratory or healthcare environment
  • Strong commitment to customer service through teamwork
  • Demonstrate solid grasp of key technical and process concepts related to all types of client connectivity issues
  • A combination of Information Technology, Customer Service and Project Management skills
  • Excellent trouble shooting skills
  • Proficient with interface support, general connectivity support and problem resolution procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal business partners and external clients

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support integration solutions through the full development life cycle including analysis, specification, design, development, testing, implementation, and support for complex vendor integration
  • Develop technical design documents for complex interfaces and templates for future integration
  • Certify new vendors/products to meet Quest requirements and regulatory standards
  • Design interfaces using Integration Engine technologies and proprietary tools
  • Implement and document beta client interfaces and test plans
  • Provide Tier 3 Service Manager ticket support for production interfaces
  • Develop enhancements for HUB vendor interfaces and production environments
  • Monitor and resolve integration engine issues and generate root-cause analyses
  • Support emerging technologies such as FHIR, HL7 LRI and Genomic Reporting
  • Assist in setting up HUB interfaces under development
  • Adhere to Quest Diagnostics’ mission, values and standards

Job Description

This position is hybrid and will require 3 days on site at one of the following Quest sites: Secaucus, NJ or Schaumburg, IL.

Pay Range: $76,000-100,000, plus yearly bonus.

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Develop and support integration solutions through the full development life cycle including analysis, specification, design, development, testing, implementation, and support for complex vendor integration. Must be able to quickly learn new technologies and resolve business challenges recommending technical solutions that align with customers’ needs.

  • Develop technical design documents for complex, bi-directional, and reverse interfaces. Develop templates to be used for additional integration.
  • Certify new vendors/products/functionality to ensure they meet Quest requirements as well as all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Use the technical design documents to design and interface / integration solutions using the appropriate proprietary tools and Integration Engine technologies.
  • Implement and document beta client interface projects, secondary development efforts, and test plans.
  • Provide Tier 3 Service Manager Ticket Support of production interfaces/integrations for complex production issues.
  • Develop, implement, and test high complexity production enhancements for existing HUB vendors and/or customers
  • Provide high level support to resolve andmonitor integration engine reports to identify problematic customer issues to facilitate resolution
  • Participate in innovation activities and support emerging technologies including FHIR, HL7 LRI guides, Genomic Reporting, etc.
  • Support the setup of HUB interfaces being developed
  • Comply with Quest Diagnostics’ mission, values and standards

Required Work Experience:

  • 3-5years of experience in a laboratory or healthcare environment

Preferred Work Experience:

  • Epic HL7 laboratory implementation experience
  • 5+ years of experience in the Health Care industry or with clinical information systems support.
  • Proficiency with multiple LIS platforms currently deployed at Quest Diagnostics.
  • Solid understanding of support tools and processes, including call tracking software (e.g., Service Manager), Quanum, and HL7.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience

PreferredTechnical Training or Professional Licensing:

  • Epic certification(s)
  • Ability to learn emerging technologies and eagerness to continuously increase and improve skill set
  • 2-5years experience in the HealthCare industry and/or clinical information systems support
  • Proficient with multiple LIS platforms that are currently deployed at Quest Diagnostics
  • Solid understanding of support tools, processes, and environment, including call tracking software (i.e. Service Manager) Quanum, Interfaces, and HL7
  • Experience implementing EMR/LIS interfaces including Epic, Cerner, Meditech, and others

Travel Required:

  • Up to 25%
