Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine seeks an Epic Applications Manager for the Cadence team to lead scheduling and outpatient workflows across Johns Hopkins Medicine, including Cadence, Referrals, Cheers CRM, and Hello World. The manager will coach a team of Analysts and Leads while partnering with Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, and clinical leaders to translate needs into practical improvements.

Strong leadership, communication, and Epic Cadence technical experience are required, with a focus on ambulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT, healthcare systems, or clinical environment, or in a formal leadership role with supervision.
• Must complete and pass certification in assigned Epic application module within 120 days.
• Hands-on experience configuring, supporting, and optimizing Epic Cadence scheduling workflows.
• Experience supporting ambulatory clinical applications such as EpicCare Ambulatory is preferred.
• Experience with Epic Referrals, Cheers CRM, or Hello World is preferred; Prelude/Welcome familiarity is beneficial.
• Ability to coach and develop Application Analysts and Application Leads.
• Ability to collaborate with physician leaders, Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, and Health IT teams to translate needs into solutions.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills; explain technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Experience leading application improvements and organizational change in a complex healthcare environment.
• Experience applying generative AI, predictive analytics, or automation to improve patient access or outcomes.
