Job summary

Prominence, a healthcare IT strategy and implementation firm, seeks an Epic Cadence consultant to design, build, and validate Cadence scheduling workflows within Epic. You will collaborate with Ambulatory and related Epic teams to drive go-lives and post‑go‑live stabilization, while mentoring customer teams.

The role emphasizes remote collaboration on complex scheduling projects with healthcare providers, requiring Cadence certification and strong communication with operations stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test Epic Cadence scheduling components (departments, providers, visit types, templates, decision trees)
• Validate current-state workflows and design future-state scheduling workflows
• Coordinate across Ambulatory, Prelude, Referrals, and related Epic apps
• Execute testing, resolve issues, and support go-live
• Support data conversion, training, and stabilization activities
• Manage issues from intake to resolution and escalate risks as needed
• Create build docs and transfer knowledge to customer teams
• Additional duties to ensure on-time project delivery

As a member of our Epic Consulting team, you’ll work closely with our customers to implement and optimize their Epic workflows. In addition to your Epic project work, you will help mentor and grow our customer’s teams, elevate issues, and guide projects to a successful outcome.

Key Responsibilities

Perform Epic-related consulting and advisory services, including but not limited to the following:

• Design, build, and test Epic Cadence scheduling functionality, including departments, providers, visit types, templates, and decision trees.
• Partner with access center and clinic operations leaders to validate current-state scheduling workflows and design future-state workflows.
• Coordinate with Ambulatory, Prelude, Referrals, and other integrated application teams on cross-application workflows.
• Execute application and integrated testing, and resolve the issues it surfaces.
• Support scheduling data conversion, including appointment and template conversion validation.
• Support end-user training, go-live readiness, and stabilization.
• Manage issues from intake through resolution, escalating risks to project leadership as needed.
• Create build documentation and knowledge transfer materials to hand off deliverables to customer teams.
• Additional duties as may be required to successfully deliver a project.

Desired Qualifications

• Active Certification: Cadence
• Hands‑on experience with Cadence build on an Epic implementation, including testing and go‑live support
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, templating, and patient access workflows
• Ability to ramp up quickly on an in‑progress project
• Strong communication skills, with experience working directly with operational stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to deliver successful projects remotely
