Job summary

Cooper University Health Care seeks a Data Exchange Developer III to work in the IT data exchange group. The role designs, tests, and implements application and device data interfaces in a healthcare setting, coordinating with business owners and IT teams.

Responsibilities include guiding junior staff, managing architecture and artifacts, and ensuring compliance and upgrades, while advancing Epic Bridges integration and FHIR adoption.

Qualifications

• 6 years minimum of strong Data Exchange experience with interface development and operation.
• 10+ years in Healthcare IT will be considered; Epic experience is a plus.
• Epic Bridges certification or familiarity with HL7, XML, and FHIR is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software development, business administration or related field required; substitution possible with 10 additional years of comparable work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop new application and device data interfaces or enhancements to existing interfaces.
• Manage Data Exchange architecture skills and provide advisory input for scalable solutions.
• Maintain up to date documentation for the Data Exchange Team and support integration projects.
• Provide interface testing strategy and act as a technical resource; participate in on-call rotation when needed.
