Location: Remote (EST/CST preferred)

Position Overview

Join Optimum Healthcare IT's growing managed services team as an Epic Analyst I supporting operational maintenance and incident resolution for a major healthcare client. This role focuses on handling routine Epic tasks, allowing the client's FTE staff to concentrate on strategic projects and implementations. You'll work as an integrated member of the client's application teams while being managed by Optimum to ensure SLA achievement.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations & Maintenance

Handle routine Epic maintenance tasks including user access requests and role management

Process standard configuration changes and system updates

Perform basic reporting and data extraction requests

Update Epic documentation and maintain knowledge base articles

Support routine testing activities for system patches and upgrades

Respond to and resolve Level 1 Epic incidents and service requests

Troubleshoot basic Epic functionality issues and user questions

Escalate complex issues to senior analysts or Application Managers

Document incident resolution steps and maintain ticket quality standards

Meet response time and resolution SLAs for assigned ticket categories

Client Integration & Support

Attend assigned client application team meetings and standups

Participate in training sessions and knowledge transfer activities

Collaborate with client end users to understand operational needs

Provide courteous and professional support to client staff

Maintain regular communication with Optimum management on progress and issues

Quality & Process Adherence

Follow established change management and documentation procedures

Ensure all work meets client quality standards and Epic best practices

Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives

Complete required training and certification maintenance activities

Support knowledge sharing within the Optimum analyst team

Required Qualifications

1-2 years of Epic experience in healthcare environment

Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience

Experience with Epic end-user support or basic system administration

Healthcare industry experience preferred but not required

Epic Certifications

Epic certification required in one or more of the following:

Ambulatory

Beaker

Willow

Radiant

Cupid

Dorothy/Comfort

Grand Central

Technical Skills

Basic understanding of Epic workflows and navigation

Familiarity with Epic reporting tools (SlicerDicer, Reporting Workbench)

Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

Basic understanding of healthcare operations and terminology

Communication & Work Style

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Customer service orientation and professional demeanor

Ability to work independently in remote environment
