About the Job:
- We are seeking an Epic Application Analyst for the following applications: Cadence/Prelude
Our job families include Epic Application Analyst positions in levels 1-4. The final position will be determined by a variety of factors, including demonstrated experience, Epic training status, portfolio, and cultural fit.
- The Epic Applications Analyst role involves implementing, developing, and maintaining the Epic system and associated third-party systems. Analysts work at various levels, from entry-level (I) to expert (IV), with increasing responsibilities and independence. They provide on-call support, interact with clients, and ensure compliance with software lifecycle standards. As they progress, they gain deeper knowledge of the Epic platform, mentor junior analysts, and lead projects to improve patient safety and quality initiatives. The role requires strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to build partnerships with customers and colleagues at all levels.
- General schedule Monday-Friday, Eastern time business hours with some flexibility. This position participates in an on-call rotation to support application needs. Occasional requirements to cover special events/staff requirements during hours outside those generally worked may be necessary. This position requires a suitable virtual home office environment and remote work capability. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and mobile devices. Travel may be occasionally required for Go-Live installations or training, which could involve air, vehicle, or train travel.
What You’ll Do:
- System Build and Configuration: Research and configure systems to improve processes, add efficiencies, and promote patient safety.
- Heuristic Design: Promote effective use of healthcare systems, leveraging clinical/business knowledge and licensure to inform workflows, system design, and support end users. Demonstrate understanding of heuristics in software design.
- Adapt and Innovate: Embrace change, seek process improvements, and demonstrate innovative thinking.
- Ensure Accountability: Take responsibility, correct mistakes, and adhere to service excellence standards following IS Standards of Behaviors and governance.
- Collaborate and Communicate: Build partnerships with stakeholders, end users, and colleagues, ensuring effective communication and support.
- Information Technology: Apply knowledge of systems development life cycle to develop, test, deploy, and maintain systems.
- Project Management: Manage projects effectively, understanding SDLC and following project management principles.
- Documentation and Testing: Maintain documentation, develop test scripts, and ensure builds meet standards and user approval.
Who You Are:
- 4-year Bachelor's Degree or relevant education & experience in lieu of degree.
- Analytical aptitude, experience in implementing/testing vendor software, or healthcare operational experience preferred or required based on level.
- Epic certification and training status vary by level; current Epic experience (end user or analyst) required. For higher levels, current Epic certifications in primary and additional applications are required, with successful completion within expected timeframes.
- Strong experience in system analysis, project management, and business process reengineering in healthcare preferred. Active vendor training status required.
- Ability to work under pressure with competing priorities and rapidly changing situations.
- Proficiency in computer use and effective communication skills, including virtual meetings.
