Henry Ford Health in Detroit seeks an IT Director of Epic Access Applications to lead strategy, roadmap, governance, and delivery of Epic Access capabilities across scheduling, registration, referrals, authorization, and patient movement.

You will build a high-performing, service-oriented team, manage budgets, partner with Access Operations, Revenue Cycle, Finance, and Epic to drive adoption and measurable value realization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• At least eight years of progressively responsible leadership experience; 10 years preferred.
• Demonstrated Epic Access domain expertise across scheduling, registration, referrals, authorization, patient movement, MyChart/digital access, coverage verification, and related workflows.
• Strong strategic thinking and independent judgment.
• Collaborative, adaptable, customer-focused leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise Access application strategy, planning, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support.
• Build and develop a high-performing, service-oriented team that identifies business needs and delivers effective solutions.
• Manage capital and operating budgets, aligning resources with organizational priorities.
• Collaborate with operational, IT, quality, and performance improvement leaders to maximize application value, resolve issues, and mitigate risk.
• Provide leadership for major projects and organizational change initiatives.
