Job summary

Hillsborough Community College in Florida is seeking a qualified professional to coordinate a complex grant program. The role plans, organizes, and manages budgets, reports, and compliance while developing curriculum and materials.

You will supervise staff, recruit participants, and liaise with state agencies and community partners. The position requires a Bachelor's degree with three years of related experience; a Master’s degree is preferred for the Institute program.

Position Summary

Hiring Salary Range: $55,053.78 to $60,559.15 depending on qualifications.

Job Summary

This position plans, organizes, implements and coordinates a complex institutional program or grant project. Manages project aspects such as development, submission of reports, budget preparation/recommendations and regulatory and procedural compliance. Prepares and submits grant proposals and monitors use of existing grant funds. Proposes institutional policies and procedures applicable to the project. Develops curriculum and course materials and maintains currency of project content. Supervises activities of program/project staff. Initiates recruitment, monitors performance, and submits required employment documentation for program/project staff. Participates in the recruitment and retention activities of students or participants in the program/project. Acts as liaison to community and college faculty and staff. Counsels and advises participants regarding their progress toward meeting their goals as well as those of the project. Performs other similar and related duties as required.

Job Duties

Implements the administrative structure to maximize state rules policy and regulations. Manages budget and expenditures related to the Educator Preparation Institute first time it is used. Maintains integrity of the program and monitors the effectiveness of training. Promotes and markets the program to potential users, and establishes and maintains partnerships with outside agencies. Serves as liaison and state and local government agencies, professional organizations and other relevant groups. Resolve issues of concern related to the program. Ensure program compliance with state, federal, and other applicable standards and procedures. Reviews college administrative policy and procedures related to program delivery. Conducts meetings with interested parties and ensures appropriate parties within the college are current on matters of importance related to the award. Provides administrative supervision to assigned staff. Performs other similar and related duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree
  • Experience with the Florida Department of Education or another state oversight agency working with program compliance, audits, new program initiation, etc.;
  • Experience recruiting and retaining teachers and/or students;
  • Experience with community outreach and collaboration to benefit a cause or program further;
  • Experience with evaluating and improving teacher development;
  • Experience collaborating with leadership from school districts and outside agencies.

  • Bachelors degree and three Years of prior-related work experience.
