Job summary

Leidos Engineering has an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager who will work alongside lead engineers and program managers supporting a growing clientele of construction partners.

We are seeking a qualified applicant to provide turnkey project management services related to electric utility engineering projects throughout the United States, with local partnering opportunities in the specified location.

Qualifications

  • Requires familiarity with electric power industry and business issues in power delivery services.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in the electric power industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance or related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Provide turnkey project management services for electric utility engineering projects nationwide.
  • Collaborate with lead engineers and program managers within the PMO.
  • Plan, monitor and report project performance and financials.
  • Travel as required to project sites or client locations.

Job description

Leidos Engineering has an opportunity for an expereinced Project Manager who will work alongside lead engineers and program managers supporting a growing clientele of construction partners. We are currently seeking a qualified applicant to provide turnkey project management services related to electric utility engineering projects throughout the United States, with local partnering opportunities in the specified location. The Project Manager will be part of an established Project Management Office within our Power Delivery Solutions division that provides consulting services to construction partners rebuilding and expanding transmission, substation, and distribution infrastructure nationwide. The estimated pay range for this position is between 100-130k, depending on the selected candidate's background, expereince and qualifications. What you'll bring to the table (Required Qualifications):
  • Familiarity with the electric power industry and knowledge of business issues associated with power delivery services
  • Demonstrated expereince working in a project environment for/with US based electric utilities is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance or a related discipline is required
  • A minimum of four (4) + years of relevant experience in the electric power industry
  • Candidates with experience in a consulting environment will be highly preferred
  • Must have the capability to understand, plan, monitor and report project financial performance
  • Demonstrated success in change management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Workfront, Pro Core, MS Project, P6)
  • Experience with MS Office Software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Periodic travel is required, so candidates should be available for travel as needed
  • This position is remote, but is US Based. Candidates must be located in the US to be considered. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

  • Experience leading EPC contracts
  • Experience supporting construction operations
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Aptitude for problem solving and critical thinking
  • PMP Certification; ideal candidates will have a desire to obtain PMP Certification within two years

Pay Range: Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00
