SOLV Energy is seeking an Engineer 3 to serve as a technical SME focused on value engineering, QA/QC, and independent judgment across utility-scale EPC projects. The role is hybrid with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA, with location details discussed during interview.

The candidate will coordinate multi-discipline design efforts, review RFPs, and provide input to estimating teams, while ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to SOLV standards.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of progressive engineering experience in EPC, renewable energy, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Solar focus preferred).
• Engineer-in-Training (F.E.).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 or similar scheduling tools.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in parallel.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Ability to adapt and respond quickly in a fast-paced EPC environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Travel up to 20% to project sites or partner offices and work in active construction environments.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate multi-discipline design efforts with internal and external stakeholders.
• Review RFP documents and provide engineering input to estimating team.
• Represent SOLV during pursuit and early-phase coordination meetings.
• Provide QA/QC oversight of consultant work and integrated design.
• Track engineering deliverables and manage schedules with project management.
• Coordinate with owners, consultants, and AHJs during permitting.
• Assist in due diligence during RFP stages and review CUPs and environmental studies.
