Job summary

PowerSecure, a Southern Company subsidiary, seeks a Project Manager to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget DI equipment installation. You will lead initiation, production/procurement oversight, budget and schedule control, and project closeout.

The role requires coordination with customers, utilities, and subcontractors, and supervision of internal teams. Strong communication and PM knowledge are essential; CAPM/PMP is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management or similar with 4+ years in the field, or HS diploma with 8+ years in construction/energy.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.
• Experience with General Contractors and subcontractors.
• Experience supervising Construction Managers, Subcontractors, and internal resources.
• CAPM or PMP preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in standard office software.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Strong organizational and professional demeanor.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; PM knowledge, construction processes, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Ability to manage priorities with urgency while maintaining quality and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and healthy work sites per standards and legal requirements.
• Coordinate and lead Initial Project Meetings (IPM).
• Oversee contract review, price assessment, budget development, project schedules, and implementation plans.
• Facilitate Production/Procurement release for manufacturing.
• Lead project meetings with customers, utilities, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Understand all aspects of the project and manage installation accordingly.
• Coordinate with parties for timely schedule execution.
• Communicate with Senior Staff to ensure safety, timeliness, and budget adherence.
