Job summary

PowerSecure, a Southern Company subsidiary, seeks a Project Manager to ensure DI equipment installation is completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will oversee initiation, procurement, budget and schedule control, and project closeout.

Responsibilities include IPMs, contract/budget management, and coordination with customers, utilities, and subcontractors to drive successful installations. Travel and leadership of teams are expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar with 4+ years in the industry; or HS diploma with 8+ years in construction/energy.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.
• Experience with General Contractors and subcontractors.
• Experience supervising Construction Managers, Subcontractors, and Internal Resources.
• CAPM or PMP certification preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in using computers and standard office software.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Must be punctual, organized, and professional.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of project management, construction processes, schedule development, and budget management.
• Ability to identify and manage priorities with urgency while maintaining high quality and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and healthy work sites by following standards and legal requirements.
• Coordinate and lead Initial Project Meetings (IPM).
• Handle contract review, sales pricing assessment, budget development, project schedule creation, and implementation plan.
• Facilitate Production/Procurement Release for manufacturing.
• Coordinate and lead project meetings with customers, utilities, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Understand all aspects of the project and adequately manage the installation.
• Coordinate with parties for timely execution of the project schedule.
• Communicate with Senior Staff to ensure projects are installed safely, on time, and on budget.
