Job summary

W3Global is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Designer/Engineer in Tulsa, OK, to design and develop industrial equipment and skid-mounted systems using Autodesk Inventor. The role emphasizes 3D modeling, mechanical assemblies, fabrication drawings, and BOMs, with direct support to manufacturing and shop-floor activities.

You will collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to resolve fit-up and fabrication issues, review specifications, and update drawings from feedback.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical design/drafting/engineering experience.

Job Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Designer/Engineer with strong Autodesk Inventor experience to design and develop industrial equipment and skid-mounted systems. The role focuses on 3D modeling, mechanical assemblies, fabrication drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs), with direct involvement in manufacturing and shop-floor support.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify 3D models, mechanical assemblies, and detailed fabrication drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
• Prepare bills of materials, material specifications, and assembly documentation.
• Design and modify skid-mounted systems, pump packages, piping layouts, and mechanical components.
• Review engineering specifications, equipment layouts, and vendor drawings.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve fit-up, clearance, and fabrication issues.
• Support projects from initial design through fabrication, assembly, and testing.
• Update drawings and documentation based on engineering and manufacturing feedback.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of mechanical design, drafting, or engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Candidates with SolidWorks experience should have hands-on experience designing skid-mounted systems, packaged equipment, pump packages, or similar industrial equipment.
• Experience creating 3D models, mechanical assemblies, detailed fabrication drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Understanding of fabrication, manufacturing, and mechanical assembly processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and resolve practical design problems.

Preferred Experience

• Skid-mounted equipment or packaged systems.
• Pump systems, pump packages, or piping layouts.
• Oil and gas equipment, industrial process equipment, or engineered-to-order machinery.
• Experience supporting fabrication or manufacturing teams.

A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred. Relevant hands-on experience may be considered in place of a degree.

Work Environment

This is an on-site position in Tulsa, Oklahoma, involving CAD design and collaboration with engineering and fabrication teams. Local candidates are preferred. Relocation may be considered, but relocation assistance is unlikely.
