City of Atlanta seeks an experienced wastewater operator to monitor, operate, and troubleshoot the water reclamation facilities and pumping stations in the Atlanta area, ensuring EPA compliance and safe water discharge.

The role includes on-call emergencies, rotating shifts, and training others, with minimum qualifications including GED, 3 years in a wastewater plant, and valid Georgia driver’s license plus Class I license.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of work experience in a wastewater plant or related area.
• Valid State of Georgia Driver’s License required.
• Class I Wastewater License required; Class II/III licenses desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Perform sampling, monitoring and testing to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Assist in maintenance and repair of plant equipment and machinery; daily checks.
• On-call to respond to emergencies and breakdowns.
• Train personnel in proper operating procedures for facilities and pumps.
