Requirements

• Current License in good standing
• Appropriate specialty certifications/credentials
• At least 18 months of EP Lab experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting

Duties and Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the EP Tech is to assist with patient care in the electrophysiology lab by providing technical support to the cardiac catheterization and EP team. Key duties include:

1. Using imaging equipment to help doctors detect and treat heart and blood vessel issues.
2. Executing noninvasive procedures as required.
3. Reviewing patient history and verifying medical orders.
4. Evaluating images for quality and ensuring the area of interest is included.
5. Distinguishing between normal and abnormal images.
6. Communicating image results to the physician.
7. Assisting physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the electrophysiology labs.
8. Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
9. Delivering quality, cost-effective patient care professionally.
10. Maintaining a patient-focused environment that provides timely and compassionate care.
11. Preparing and updating patient records accurately and legibly.
