Job Summary And Qualifications

The Cardiovascular Technologist is responsible for the performance of all technical functions in the Arrhythmia Syncope Center. It is essential for a Cardiovascular Technician to be able to work and follow detailed instruction from the physician, ARNP’s and registered nurses. CV Tech has the knowledge skills and training to assist the physician in all Electrophysiology procedures, invasive and non-invasive, including but not limited to EP Studies, Mapping/Ablations, Tilt table test, Pace Makers, ICD’s and Loop insertion, non-invasive programming simulation (NIPS), Lead replacement/revisions. Also, the Arrhythmia Syncope Center EchoTech requires the use of noninvasive cardiac testing procedures and EKG monitoring. Population served is adult. The Cardiovascular Tech is responsible for maintain sterile preparation of patients undergoing invasive procedures, according to AORN, OSHA, JHACO and all regulatory guidelines. The EP Tech will also be responsible for terminal cleaning of all procedure areas during all preoperative phases. Maintains safe work environment including medical procedures for spill management. The tech will also be responsible for assuring the OptiFlex Supply Station has adequate par levels and will make sure that all non stock supplies are at par level.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
