Job summary

Rush Heart & Vascular is seeking a Section Chief of Electrophysiology to provide strategic, clinical, operational, and program leadership for a nationally recognized EP program in downtown Chicago. You will lead growth, innovation, and integration across the Rush University System for Health, with emphasis on complex EP procedures, research, and academic missions.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Cardiology and fellowship in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
• Academic rank of Associate Professor or higher.
• Strong record of clinical excellence and patient care.
• Experience in LAAO implantation and/or lead extraction preferred.
• Active research and academic achievements.
• Commitment to innovation and advancement in EP.
• Leadership and mentorship of faculty and staff.
• Ability to advance clinical and academic missions.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, clinical, operational, and programmatic leadership for the EP section.
• Join Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges.
• Lead the continued growth, innovation, and integration of a comprehensive EP program across the Rush University System for Health.
• Provide clinical expertise in complex EP procedures, with experience in LAAO implantation and/or lead extraction preferred.
• Advance the clinical, academic, and research missions of the EP program.
• Foster innovation and growth within the field of EP.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop faculty and clinical staff.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, excellence, and professional development.
• Lead initiatives that support the continued growth and advancement of the program.
