Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an experienced nurse to support invasive electrophysiology procedures. You will assist physicians, operate EP lab equipment, and provide direct and indirect patient care during procedures and sedation.

Required RN licensure or RCIS/EP program graduate, with BCLS and ACLS, and a path to RCIS/RCES within 2 years if RCIS/EP graduate. 1 year EP or related experience if not RCIS/EP graduate. Competitive sign-on bonus available.

Responsibilities

Assisting the physician in performance of invasive electrophysiology procedures. Has basic knowledge of EP Lab equipment and the maintenance of it while administering direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures. Provides direct and indirect care during established procedures and sedation for patients.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Registered Nurse (RN) Required or
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), EP program, Respiratory Therapist, Exercise Physiology, Paramedic, or Radiology Technologist Required

Work Experience

• No experience required If graduate of RCIS or EP program Required or
• 1 year EP, Healthcare Imaging, Exercise Physiology, Paramedic, Respiratory, or RN if not a graduate of RCIS or EP program. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• Based on healthcare experience (see above) applicable license Upon Hire Required or
• If a graduate of RCIS or EP program, Must obtain RCIS/RCES within 2 Years Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ACLS Upon Hire Required
