Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an EP Lab Tech to support physicians during invasive electrophysiology procedures. You will use EP Lab equipment and provide direct and indirect patient care throughout procedures and sedation.

Required education includes RN with license or RCIS/EP program graduate; BCLS and ACLS on hire; RCIS/RCES within 2 years if RCIS/EP graduate. Experience: none if RCIS/EP graduate, or 1 year in EP or related field.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program and RN license; or RCIS/EP program, Respiratory Therapist, Exercise Physiology, Paramedic, or Radiology Technologist graduate.
• Licenses: applicable license on hire; RCIS/RCES within 2 years if RCIS/EP graduate; BCLS on hire; ACLS on hire.
• Experience: no experience required if RCIS or EP program graduate; otherwise 1 year EP/related experience required.

Responsibilities:

Assisting the physician in performance of invasive electrophysiology procedures. Has basic knowledge of EP Lab equipment and the maintenance of it while administering direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures. Provides direct and indirect care during established procedures and sedation for patients.

Qualifications:

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Registered Nurse (RN) Required or
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), EP program, Respiratory Therapist, Exercise Physiology, Paramedic, or Radiology Technologist Required

Work Experience

• No experience required If graduate of RCIS or EP program Required or
• 1 year EP, Healthcare Imaging, Exercise Physiology, Paramedic, Respiratory, or RN if not a graduate of RCIS or EP program. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• Based on healthcare experience (see above) applicable license Upon Hire Required or
• If a graduate of RCIS or EP program, Must obtain RCIS/RCES within 2 Years Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ACLS Upon Hire Required
