Job summary

The Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) in Columbia, SC seeks a Cardiovascular/Electrophysiology Technologist I to support physicians during EP procedures and device implantations. The role acts as a clinical resource for the EP lab team, emphasizing safety, sterile technique, and accurate data capture.

Qualifications include an accredited Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program or equivalent, RCIS/RCES/CEPS/RT(R)CI certification, and the ability to participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Diploma/GED and graduate of an accredited Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program; or equivalent education/experience with RCIS/RCES/CEPS/RT(R)CI certification.
• Telemetry and Arterial/Venous Sheath Removal experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and on-call availability required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field and assist physician at the sterile field.
• Prepare and manage catheters, wires, sheaths, mapping systems and devices.
• Scrub in to assist and pass instruments; anticipate physician needs.
• Monitor and document intracardiac EGMs, surface ECGs, and hemodynamics.
• Ensure patient safety, privacy, and professional conduct.
