Job summary

University of Iowa Health Care’s UI Heart and Vascular Center seeks a 100% Imaging Technologist for the EP Lab to perform advanced digital angiography imaging with patient monitoring. The role includes on-campus duties, 4-10 hour day shifts with rotating off days, and a sign-on incentive of up to $10,000.

The position requires ARRT certification and a two-year radiologic technology program completion, with duties spanning imaging, contrast administration, QA, and trainee instruction.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a two-year radiologic technology program is required.
• ARRT certification and related radiologic specialty credentials preferred.
• Strong patient care, communication skills, and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging for diagnostic and therapeutic adult cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Operate imaging system with QA procedures and monitor system performance.
• Maintain aseptic technique, safety, and patient monitoring during procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast material under radiologist supervision.
• Maintain records and archive imaging data.
• Plan daily and STAT scheduling for efficient room utilization.
• Provide instruction to trainees and staff on operation and safety precautions.
