Job summary

The Chattanooga Heart Institute is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver specialized care for patients with cardiac devices. You will manage assessments, support device testing, and coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes in a fast-paced cardiology setting.

Qualifications

• Two or more years in a cardiology setting with cardiac rhythm recognition.
• Registered Nurse license in Tennessee required at hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR certification at hire.

Responsibilities

• Follow pacemaker and ICD patients in office and remotely per protocol.
• Retrieve patient from lobby, obtain weight and blood pressure, perform lead hookup and device tests.
• Assess patient for device-related signs and perform reprogramming as needed.
• Forward all documentation to physician and execute orders.
• Call loop recorder patients to request manual transmissions.
• Maintain equipment.

• Ensure that all pacemaker and ICD patients are being followed in office and remotely per protocol.
• Retrieve patient from lobby, obtain weight and blood pressure per protocol, perform patient lead hookup and interrogate and conduct various technical tests on implanted cardiac devices per protocol.
• Assess patient for signs and symptoms related to device function and perform reprogramming as necessary.
• Forward all documentation to physician for review. Execute any orders received.
• Call indicated loop recorder patients to request manual transmissions.
• Maintain equipment.

Required

• Two or more years’ experience in a cardiology setting with cardiac rhythm recognition.
• Registered Nurse: TN, upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Pay Range

$29.36 - $43.68 /hour
