Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Charlotte is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Cardiology: Electrophysiology department. This full-time role supports patient care, rooming, vital signs, phlebotomy, POCT, and procedural assistance under supervision.

Qualified candidates will have an accredited Medical Assistant program and recent clinical experience; BLS certification is part of required competencies. The department emphasizes teamwork and patient safety in a dynamic cardiology setting.

Qualifications

• Education from an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent clinical training.
• Four years of experience in a clinical practice setting as a Medical Assistant, with at least two years as a certified/registered Medical Assistant.
• Knowledge of CLIA waivered testing and lab procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies to care for patients.
• Support daily workflow by assisting department leader with staffing, orders, audits, and processes.
• Train onboarding and serve as a resource for the team.
