Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the WFBMG University Group Practice: WFUHS Premier Dr – Cardiology. The role supports clinicians, performs EKGs and lab tasks, administers routine medications, and ensures accurate patient documentation.

You should have graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program and hold MA credentials with BLS. The position is full-time, 40 hours weekly, with benefits eligible, in Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• 1 year experience preferred.
• Active BLS certification and MA credentials listed above required.
• Strong knowledge of clinical workflows and patient preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and compiling health information.
• Performs basic lab procedures using aseptic technique and infection control.
• Assists physician/APP with procedures such as pelvic exams and EMG under supervision.
• Administers routine medications per orders or standing protocols.
• Facilitates referrals and tests, communicates with care team for smooth workflow.
