Job summary

Expected to open in 2028, the Center will serve as a gateway to the Preserve, coordinating with multiple agencies and community groups while aligning with habitat conservation goals. The position requires hybrid work with some nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of experience in natural resources/environmental analysis and grant management.
• Experience drafting SOPs/policies for visitor centers or major facilities.
• Licenses: Texas Driver's License; certifications may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and long-term planning for the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve Visitor Center.
• Coordinate with county divisions, partners and stakeholders for program alignment and grant funding.
• Develop and manage contracts, budgets, and procurement; supervise staff and contractors.
