Job summary

Valeo seeks an Environmental Test & Validation Intern (Year-Round) in Troy, MI. You will support engineers in product validation from RFQ to customer acceptance, and refine validation plans with PTM teams. Proficiency in Java/Python is a plus, as is experience with LabVIEW/TestStand.

This is a year-round trainee role with opportunities to work across global labs. You will collaborate with Method & Tools and lab operations to develop test environments, ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Experience with National Instruments LabVIEW/TestStand is a plus.
• Proficiency in Java and Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in Product Validation activities from RFQ to final customer acceptance.
• Analyze customer specifications with the PTM and define the final validation plan.
• Write detailed validation plans and test specifications to meet Valeo requirements and quality targets.
• Schedule validation plans and coordinate with laboratory resources and technicians.
• Support environmental validations at multiple locations (Troy, Shenzhen, Bietigheim, Prague, external labs).
