Job summary

Weston & Sampson Services, located in Reading, MA, is seeking an Environmental Technician. The role will support operations of treatment plants and pump stations in the North Shore area and involves inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year of mechanical experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of mechanical experience is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders.
• Good written and verbal communication, customer service, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to respond to emergencies, work on-call, weekends and holidays.
• Preferred: ability to obtain a wastewater or water license within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of treatment plants and pump stations in the service area.
• Perform inspection, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment at wastewater and water facilities.
