Job summary

The Environmental Services department at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System seeks a floor care technician who operates a variety of electrical and battery-powered equipment to refine and maintain tile floors and extract carpets, following established procedures.

You will assist in training other staff on equipment and techniques, and must be able to read and follow instructions in English, with weekend and holiday availability.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience operating a variety of electrical and battery powered floor care equipment.
• Must be available to work on weekends, holidays and alternate shifts.
• Must be able to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate floor care equipment per established procedures to refinish and maintain tile floors and extract carpets.
• Assist in training other employees on equipment usage and proper techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer successful L2 background screening for behavioral health facility access.

HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
