Schedule: Monday – Friday, overtime and callouts as required due to business necessity
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position serves as the field level team member assisting with EHS compliance topics applicable to company operations. The position supports the Kinetik assets including the gas plants, compressor stations, and associated gathering systems. This position will assist operations in achieving Kinetik EHS goals with respect to environmental compliance in our operations. A proven ability to solve problems, learn new material, adapt to change and be an effective communicator are key traits to success in this position. This position reports to the North Delaware Manager of Environmental Compliance.
- Assist management, operations, and project/maintenance teams as required to assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate rules and regulations pertaining to operational environmental aspects and impacts.
- Assist with organizing, planning, implementing, and auditing the environmental programs for the operation, ensuring compliance as required by regulatory agencies and corporate policy.
- Ensure compliance with permits by aiding Environmental Specialists in monitoring and recordkeeping.
- Assist with waste and remediation activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, including the oversight of sample collection, the labs used for analysis, the manifests, regulatory reporting, and record keeping.
- Oversee third party remediation crews to ensure they are working safely and using proper methods in the field.
- Assist with the review of MOC’s for environmental impacts, regarding LDAR programs, and delivering necessary information to third party monitoring services.
- Ensure compliance with SPCC requirements and assist with spill response and remediation activities, as needed, including the facilitation of required reporting to applicable parties, including the NMED, EPA, and/or NMOCD.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, including but not limited to reporting releases to all applicable agencies and internal personnel.
- Assist with being point of contact for LDAR contractors, remediation contractors, and some other third parties.
- Assist with compliance audits, as needed, and assist in facilitating resolution of action items from findings of reviews and inspections.
- Maintain a working knowledge of existing regulations that affect the plant/compressor station/ pipeline site.
- Communicate regular updates on EHS releases, status of leak repairs, and remediation status to the Manager of Environmental Compliance for Operations management meetings.
- Ability to learn and comprehend the operating principles of natural gas compression and natural gas processing facilities.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions regarding leak repair, remediation, and waste handling in the field.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.
- Provide EHS orientations for the area as directed.
- Provide support and training at monthly safety meetings as requested.
- Maintain the environmental and safety equipment inventory
- Support maintaining the 4-gas monitor and PPE program.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in an oil and gas related field of operations, maintenance or EHS position.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in gathering data and organizing data
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Possess and maintain a valid driver license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Computer knowledge (MS Office).
- Ability to lead a small team of laborers to accomplish daily goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in an area of Environmental study or an engineering discipline
- Experience and certification in Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) and other gas detection methods
Working Conditions:
- Field work will involve walking and standing on rough terrain with uneven and slippery surfaces.
- The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet to moderate but may regularly require exposure to loud noises from machinery.
- Will be required to regularly drive to other field facilities within their assigned region.
- Will regularly use a computer to create, record, store, revise and save documentation needed to perform their role.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Ability to work effectively in all working conditions noted above.
- Able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. in a safe manner.
- Ability to talk, listen and speak clearly on a telephone and in-person.
- Ability to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
- Must live within a 150-mile radius of Loco Hills, NM.
