Job description

ALLWEST is a 100% employee-owned geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, construction materials testing, and special inspections firm serving the Inland Northwest and beyond. We have offices located in Hayden, Lewiston and Meridian, Idaho; Missoula, Montana; and Spokane and Tri-Cities, Washington.

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Field Technician to support stormwater, water quality and environmental compliance efforts for a large heavy-civil construction project in remote Central Idaho. This is a remote project and anticipated to be a rotational position working approximately 2-3 weeks on and one week off during the construction season (late April through early November, weather permitting), with camp housing and meals provided. This project is expected to span for approximately three years.

General Responsibilities

• Conducting SWPPP and BMP inspections
• Performing stormwater sampling and water quality monitoring (pH, turbidity, conductivity)
• Maintaining accurate field logs, inspection reports and digital documentation
• Coordinating with project environmental leads to support regulatory compliance during construction
• Work independently in remote terrain during active construction operations

Requirements

• CESCL or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision in remote field environments

Other Preferred Certifications:

• Mine or large civil construction project experience
• Environmental sampling experience
• Cross trained in construction materials testing
• MSHA New Miner Training (part 46)

Salary Description

$30-$36/hour (includes remote mine premium)
