Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Transmission & Distribution Market Lead to direct growth and delivery of environmental planning and permitting services for electric transmission clients across the eastern United States.

You will lead delivery teams, elevate Jacobs’ industry presence through thought leadership, and strengthen client relationships while aligning regional strategy with operations and account management.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in planning, environmental science, biology, ecology, business, natural resources, law, civil engineering, or related field.
• Twenty years of environmental permitting and planning experience on transmission and distribution projects in the eastern or central US.
• Minimum of ten years of consulting experience supporting siting, permitting, outreach, and/or right-of-way for electrical utility and private developer projects.
• Experience leading and managing staff and/or subcontractors for development of electrical utility projects.
• Proven track record of strategy execution, director‑level client relationships, and credibility with decision makers in client organizations.
• Differentiated experience in at least one of the following RTOs/ISOs SPP, MISO, PJM, Southeast and ERCOT, and working with multiple state regulatory commissions or regulatory agencies.

• Develop delivery teams and elevate Jacobs’ market presence through thought leadership and associations.
• Collaborate with operations, account managers, and Market Growth Director to align regional strategies.
• Mobilize high‑performing teams and strengthen client relationships for delivery excellence.
• Attract and retain top talent and establish scalable processes for ongoing success.
