Job summary

Nemak USA, Inc. seeks an Environmental Sustainability Engineer/Leader in Sheboygan, WI to design and execute the environmental compliance and sustainability strategy.

Acting as a technical authority and strategic advisor, this person will ensure adherence to environmental regulations, reduce environmental impacts, and enhance energy performance. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% to US plants in Kentucky, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Alabama and Georgia.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in environmental compliance and sustainability management within manufacturing settings.
• In-depth knowledge of EPA, WDNR, and related regulatory guidelines.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and a strong interest or experience in ISO 50001 implementation preferred.
• Outstanding communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed to Nemak USA facilities.
• Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) or CHMM credential, melting operations and environmental controls, WDNR familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Nemak USA sites comply with federal, state, and local regulations (EPA, WDNR).
• Lead programs on air, water, waste, and hazardous materials management across sites.
• Support ISO 14001 implementation and maintenance.
• Conduct environmental audits and oversee corrective action plans.
• Act as liaison with regulatory agencies and stakeholders.
• Develop energy roadmap including renewable sourcing and on-site power strategies.
• Lead decarbonization efforts to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions.
• Identify and oversee energy efficiency projects with KPIs and ROI analysis.
• Collaborate with Finance and Operations on sustainability Capex planning.
• Represent Nemak USA in internal and external sustainability forums.
