Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Co in Cranberry Township, PA is offering a paid summer internship as a Corporate Environment and Sustainability intern. You will support environmental stewardship initiatives across the global organization, reporting to the Global Sustainability Program Manager, with hybrid work in Cranberry.

Responsibilities include travel to Western Pennsylvania sites, assisting with E&S standards, data collection and reporting, and developing training materials to improve E&S knowledge.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or similar
• Completed Sophomore year of college
• Completed environmental or sustainability coursework

Responsibilities

• Travel throughout Western Pennsylvania sites, required
• Help implement the Environmental & Sustainability standards and programs
• Participate in EHS&S team meetings; present on E&S topics and project progress
• Inspect and evaluate workplace environments and practices for regulatory compliance
• Participate in event investigations to identify causes and corrective actions
• Work as part of an inspection or audit team
• Develop E&S briefs, training materials, and provide training to improve E&S knowledge
• Collect and analyze data, suggest corrective actions, develop, and present reports
• Support Environment and Sustainability projects and initiatives, including collaboration with other organizations with the company

Education

Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or similar

Completed Sophomore year of college

Completed environmental or sustainability coursework
