Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in Air Permitting, Storm Water Permitting, Hazardous Waste Generator Requirements and/or related media.
• Experience in environmental engineering or related science, preferably at a manufacturing operation.
• Demonstrated ability to execute projects.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
• Must be willing to travel between facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain environmental stewardship program strategies in support of GM’s mission.
• Engage with local regulatory agencies and prepare required regulatory documentation.
• Monitor environmental parameters and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

As an Environmental Engineer at General Motors, you will have the opportunity to champion the waste and water compliance programs and be responsible for developing programs to reduce environmental risk. The GM Environmental Supervisor position focuses on environmental oversight at their local plant, plant partnership initiatives and process control improvements.
