Brief Position Description:

Walk from JV housing near the Clark Fork River to serve the environment from our stain-glass-windowed church headquarters in the "Hip Strip" of beautiful Missoula, Montana. Recycling Works is seeking a hard-working and team-oriented JV to run recycling routes, maintain and build structures, answer customer inquiries, and improve operational systems for efficiency and safety. Our young office, like you, works with the professionalism and efficiency of a well-run small business, with the mission and heart of a nonprofit. Are you the next hard-working, collaborative, and mission-driven JV team member at Recycling Works ?

Day in Life of JV

• Arrive in the office at 9am and check email and any updates from ongoing projects -- email back the city that the recycling bins are all out for the music festival tonight.
• 9:45 Have ten minute check in with Executive Director to share updates and write several projects on white board.
• 9:55 Use Stop Suite computer program to find the five customers we can't reach due to water-line work on their street and inform them we will pick up their recycling a week later than usual.
• 11:15 tell a nice old man caller he can't recycle a toothbrush.
• 11:30 Head out in the field, meet recycling route driver and look at broken trailer door and collectively determine it needs a new bolt. Get tools and new bolt from Ace, fix trailer door with driver.
• 3:00 Get back to the office and finish another section on the grant to sponsor a recycling event in a small community outside Missoula.
• 5:00 Service done, walk down to the music festival on the river.
