Job summary

Great Plains Health in North Platte, Nebraska is seeking an Environmental Services Supervisor to lead the EVS team, coordinate daily cleaning assignments, and uphold hospital standards of cleanliness and patient safety.

Under the direction of the Director of Support Services, you will develop goals, supervise staff, conduct quality inspections, manage inventory, and participate in ongoing in-service education to ensure top‑quality environments for patients and visitors.

Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • GPH Required: A current motor vehicle operator's license

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct supervision for Environmental Service Technicians.
  • Determines and assigns daily cleaning tasks.
  • Develops and implements department goals and policies.
  • Maintains safety programs and inventories for chemicals and supplies.
  • Conducts quality inspections and performance appraisals.
  • Communicates effectively through daily huddles and reports.
  • Ensures compliance with hospital safety standards.
  • Oversees daily rounds to verify cleaning quality.

Minimum Qualificationso Educationo High school degree or equivalent required.o Credentialso GPH Required: A current motor vehicle operator's licensePhysical Demands1. Stand and/or walk frequently.2. Sit occasionally.3. Lift 20 pounds six inches off floor to shoulder to six inches off floor frequently.4. Climb a ladder two-three runs occasionally.5. Bend, stoop and kneel occasionally.6. Conducts daily inspection to ensure quality Conducts performance appraisals for assigned staff.6. Conducts daily communication huddle providing essential information.7. Maintains proper cleaning chemical inventory and supplies.8. Ensures safety program for all personnel within the department in conjunction with the safety program of the hospital.9.
