Job summary

CORRE, Inc is seeking an Environmental Specialist in Wisconsin to lead field investigations including wetland delineations and ecological assessments for transportation projects. You will prepare documentation, coordinate with regulatory agencies, and interpret plans to support environmental compliance.

The role involves field data collection with GPS/GNSS, creating maps and reports, and managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental science, biology, ecology, natural resources, soil science, geology, or a related field.
Wisconsin DNR Wetland Delineation Professional Assurance status.
Experience with wetland delineations per US Army Corps of Engineers manual and related docs preferred.
Experience supporting WisDOT transportation projects preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform environmental field investigations for transportation projects including wetland delineations and ecological assessments.
Prepare environmental documentation, technical memos, permits, mapping, and supporting materials for WisDOT and other projects.
Coordinate with clients, design teams, and agencies to ensure environmental compliance and approvals.
Read and interpret roadways plans, topographic data, and project limits for environmental evaluations.
Conduct field data collection using GPS/GNSS and maintain accurate notes, photos, and maps.
Manage multiple assignments and deadlines while delivering high-quality work.
Communicate findings and environmental requirements clearly to clients and project teams.
