Job summary

Flatiron Construction Corp is seeking an Environmental Specialist to provide technical input on environmental monitoring and design or construction methods to ensure compliance with environmental specifications or regulatory standards.

You will collaborate with design and construction teams, conduct impact assessments, prepare reports, and train staff on environmental issues while staying ahead of industry trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or related field required.
• Environmental certification preferred.
• Experience in environmental monitoring preferred.

Responsibilities

• Audits, analyzes, and reports on environmental performance to clients and regulatory bodies.
• Collaborates with design and construction teams to advise on minimizing adverse environmental impacts.
• Conducts impact assessments to identify, evaluate, and mitigate environmental risks and costs.
• Prepares environmental reports for supervisor review and leadership presentations.
• Raises awareness about emerging environmental issues and coordinates public hearings and consultations.
• Trains staff on environmental issues and engages in education and research to stay ahead of industry trends.
