The Environmental Specialist III conducts environmental site inspections for the Florida Department of Health to ensure compliance with state and local laws, with a focus on Onsite Sewage Treatment and Disposal Systems (OSTDS), well construction, water surveillance, and beach water quality monitoring throughout Broward County. This independent, technical role involves permit review and issuance, field inspections, water sampling, GPS data collection, and report preparation under the direction of an Environmental Supervisor I.
