Job summary

Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking an experienced Environmental and Solid Waste Project Manager to support the Charles County Department of Public Works on a diverse portfolio of environmental and infrastructure projects in Maryland.

You will manage projects through planning, design, permitting, procurement, construction and closeout, coordinating with County staff, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• 7+ years of relevant project management experience.
• Experience managing environmental, solid waste, or public works projects.
• Ability to coordinate engineers, contractors, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Strong write and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple environmental, solid waste and civil infrastructure projects concurrently.
• Provide PM and owner's representative services across planning to closeout.
• Develop and track schedules, budgets, scopes, risks, and logs.
• Coordinate with County departments, consultants, contractors, and regulators.
• Review designs, reports, cost estimates, schedules, and permit documents.
• Monitor progress and mitigation of scope, schedule, cost, and quality impacts.
