Job summary

Sustainable Energy Inc is seeking an Environmental Engineer at mid-level to drive from prototype to production. You will own full technology lifecycles, patch dependencies, read stack traces, diagnose issues, and mentor others in a fast-paced Tuscaloosa environment.

You will collaborate across Azure and Linux-based systems, turning data into actionable recommendations, and building self-service testing tools to reduce tickets while keeping systems reliable and scalable.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on experience in a technology role.
• 4+ years putting Linux to work in a technology setting.
• Comfort interpreting data and translating findings into clear recommendations.
• Self-awareness to know which problems to solve and when to elevate.

Responsibilities

• Keep Sustainable Energy Inc's Microsoft Azure dependencies patched before the CVEs become incidents.
• Own the full lifecycle of technology systems from prototype to production.
• Read the Linux stack traces others skim past, and trace bugs to their root.
• Resurrect flaky Microsoft Azure tests until the Tuscaloosa, AL suite is trustworthy again.
• Break large technology initiatives into Adaptability increments Tuscaloosa can actually deliver.
• Build Unit Testing self-service tools so Tuscaloosa teams stop filing tickets for everything.
• Investigate, diagnose, and fix bugs reported by users and monitoring tools.
