You will hunt latency spikes, participate in on-call rotations, build dashboards in TypeScript, create tooling in Node.js, own the Unit Testing release, and optimize performance and resource usage at scale.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy.
• Written communication clear enough to survive a forwarded email chain.
• 3 years of learning when to trust the process and when to break it.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, quietly-relentless environment.
• Comfortable owning projects from concept through delivery.
• At least 4 years building expertise within the technology space.

Responsibilities

• Hunt down the latency spikes nobody at Apple can explain
• Respond to on-call rotations and participate in incident postmortems
• Build TypeScript dashboards so Apple's technology team stops asking engineers for numbers
• Build the Node.js tooling that makes every other South Bend engineer faster
• Own the Unit Testing release that South Bend leadership has circled on the calendar
• Optimize application performance, latency, and resource utilization at scale
