Job summary

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in Chester, NJ seeks a Housekeeping / Environmental Services Technician (EVS) to maintain clean, safe patient areas on a per diem schedule, generally 2pm–10pm with alternating weekends.

You'll contribute to a welcoming hospital environment, support daily operations, replenish supplies, and help ensure floors, rooms, and common areas meet standards.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience.
• Experience in hospital EVS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the quality and appearance of the physical plant by reporting repair issues daily.
• Keeps floors clean and safe by dust mopping and wet mopping as needed.
• Cleans and polishes metal trim, furnishings, and equipment; washes walls, windows, and beds as assigned.
• Strips, waxes and buffs floors with proper safety precautions.
• Replenishes supplies including soap, towels and toilet tissue, and other disposables.

Position: Housekeeping / Environmental Services Technician (EVS) / HousekeepingLocation: 201 Pleasant Hill Road, Chester, NJ 07930Schedule: Per Diem (PRN), 2pm - 10pm alternating weekends

6 shifts within a 6 week schedule

Compensation: $19.30 per hour + Shift Differential

Responsibilities

Housekeepers / Environmental Services Technicians (EVS) help provide a safe and welcoming atmosphere in our hospitals. In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery and visitor satisfaction by keeping the halls, stations, waiting rooms and patient rooms clean.

• Assists in maintaining the qualityand appearance of the physical plant by reporting repair issues and needs on a daily basis or as needed.
• Keeps floors clean and safe by dust mopping and wet mopping as necessary.
• Cleans and polishes all metal trim furnishing and/or equipment as necessary, as well as washes walls, windows and beds as assigned.
• Strips, waxes and buffs floors as assigned using safety precautions to properly carry out the procedures.
• Assists in moving furniture as requested. Replenishes supplies including soap, towels and toilet tissue, as well as other disposable items.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Previous housekeeping experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous Hospital EVS experience preferred.

Per Diem Requirement: Must be available to work Six (6) shifts per Six (6) week schedule; Three (3) must be on the Weekend (Saturday's or Sunday's).
