Job summary

MercyOne Northeast Iowa is seeking an Environmental Services Tech to clean and disinfect patient care areas and public spaces in accordance with MercyOne standards. You will help maintain a clean, sanitary environment and support safe, efficient operations of the department.

The position is part-time (.5) with rotating shifts (1st or 3rd) and weekend/holiday rotation. Strong English communication and basic computer skills are required, and a valid Iowa driver’s license may be needed for driving

Qualifications

• Must read, write and understand English and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and physicians.
• Basic computer skills required.
• If driving, must have a valid Iowa driver’s license and an acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient/resident room cleaning to ensure a clean and sanitary environment.
• Cleans in administrative and support areas.
• Maintains equipment, cart, and closet in a neat, orderly, and operational condition.
• Contributes to safety, security and efficiency of the department.
• Demonstrates proper floor cleaning procedures and equipment care.
